Data ethics
How CompareVetPricing keeps public vet-price data useful, fair, correctable and separated from commercial influence.
Source-backed public data
- Practice price rows are based on publicly published prices, practice submissions, user submissions under review, or direct confirmation workflows.
- Public reports use aggregate statistics and avoid presenting individual practices as overcharging.
- Every price should be read with its checked date, caveats and source context.
Corrections are free
- Practices can submit corrections without paying and without joining a commercial programme.
- Outdated or disputed data can be reviewed through the corrections route.
- User reports do not automatically overwrite source-backed rows.
No pay-to-rank
- Commercial partnerships do not affect practice rankings, price comparisons, transparency scores, data reports or methodology.
- Paid placements, if introduced, will be clearly labelled and separated from organic rankings.
- Affiliate or partner relationships must not change statistics, medians or source labels.
Responsible use
- Price is only one factor when choosing a vet; clinical fit, services, opening hours and emergency arrangements matter.
- Emergency pages are for context only and should never delay urgent care.
- Transparency scores measure public clarity and are not legal compliance findings.
