Editorial policy
How CompareVetPricing handles data independence, review, corrections, and limits.
Data independence
No veterinary practice, pet insurance company, pet pharmacy, or other commercial entity pays to influence rankings, comparison order, pricing data, or data presentation. Commercial revenue is kept separate from data and editorial decisions.
How content is reviewed
All data pages are based on source-backed evidence. Sources are documented and dated. Price data is extracted from practice-published materials and reviewed before inclusion in statistics. User-submitted reports are used as verification triggers only; they are never automatically published as fact.
The detailed data rules are set out in the methodology.
Automation and review
Automated crawling and extraction help find public price evidence, but automated output does not decide what is published. Source-backed observations must pass publishability and statistics rules before they are used on public pages, and weak or user-entered-only tools are kept out of search indexation until the underlying data is strong enough.
The site does not generate clinical advice, invented reviewers, or fake expert endorsements. Calculators are decision aids with editable assumptions, not veterinary recommendations.
Corrections
Anyone can report incorrect data. Practices can claim their page and update their own information for free. Corrections are reviewed and resolved within a target of 5 working days. The correction process is the same whether a practice has a paid enhanced listing or not.
Correction details are covered in the corrections policy.
What the site does not do
CompareVetPricing does not provide veterinary, clinical, medical, or financial advice. It does not diagnose conditions or recommend treatments. It does not claim endorsement by, or affiliation with, any regulatory body including the CMA, RCVS, BVA, or otherwise. It does not use fabricated authors, reviewers, or expert endorsements.
