Vet price guides by procedure

Each guide is published from checked practice prices. Procedure pages stay focused on comparable routine-care data and show sample sizes before making any claim.

Compare local prices for your pet

Choose a species and procedure, then search nearby practices. Dog, cat and rabbit filters use explicitly recorded species; unspecified prices are not assumed to apply.

Compare selected published home-visit vet fees

Five source-checked providers are shown. This is not a national directory, availability check or medical recommendation. Confirm the current total and whether a visit is available at your address.

If your pet may need urgent care, contact a veterinary practice or emergency service now rather than waiting to compare home visits.

Routine consultation or referral appointment?

Compare the same appointment type. A standard consultation fee is not a price for a specialist referral, an emergency visit or a complete course of treatment.

A referral quote may charge separately for assessment, tests, imaging, treatment, hospital care and follow-up, or include some of them in a package. Ask for an itemised estimate and do not add a consultation twice when the package already includes it.

See surgery-only and referral-package examples · Compare a separately charged assessment with an included consultation

These comparisons do not decide whether your pet needs a referral or a particular test. Discuss the proposed care with your vet.

What does a published vet price list include?

A list records named services, not a universal set of inclusions or a complete treatment estimate. Check the scope before comparing two prices:

  • Consultations: vet or nurse, in-practice or remote, routine or emergency, first visit or follow-up.
  • Vaccinations: the species, named vaccine and whether the price covers one visit or the complete course.
  • Neutering and dentistry: the stated procedure and weight band, plus any included anaesthesia, tests, medicines and rechecks.
  • The total: VAT, required extras, optional additions, when the fee was checked and how long the quote is valid.
