Medivet publishes £17.50–£19.50 a month for dogs, £15.50 for cats and £12 for rabbits. Twelve payments cost £210–£234, £186 and £144. Adding the £12.99 administration fee makes first-year totals £222.99–£246.99, £198.99 and £156.99. The fee does not apply to renewal under the April 2026 terms.
Prices are stated correct January 2026. The provider page and April 2026 terms were checked 11 September 2026. Totals are arithmetic; no provider saving claim is adopted and no optional add-on price is assumed.

The provider does not explain on the hub page what determines the two dog rates. Confirm the applicable rate and whether any optional add-on changes the contract start or total.
Separate first-year cash cost from renewal
The April 2026 terms define a £12.99 one-time administration fee payable when the plan begins. It is not charged on renewal and is not refundable on termination. Compare year one with the first-year total above; compare a later unchanged year with twelve monthly payments alone.
The plan can be paid upfront for 12 months or by monthly instalments. An upfront plan does not automatically renew; a monthly-paid plan renews for another 12-month term unless ended under the terms.

The hub lists vaccinations, two healthy-pet checks, parasite protection and species-dependent benefits or discounts. It says a healthy-pet check is for a pet that appears healthy; a consultation about a new or ongoing health issue is charged at the normal rate unless a separate applicable benefit covers it.
The optional Unlimited Add-on has separate availability, pricing, exclusions and fair-use terms. Ask your practice for its current price before adding it to your budget.

A monthly customer can prevent renewal without an additional fee by giving at least 30 days' notice before the expiry date. Outside the listed fee-free routes, early termination normally leaves monthly customers liable for plan fees through the next expiry date; annual payers normally receive no partial refund.
The terms separately cover a 14-day cooling-off period and notified price or terms changes. Products and services already received can affect the cooling-off refund, and the administration fee remains non-refundable.

Price the relevant vaccination, prescribed parasite products, planned checks and any other intended benefit separately at your practice. Do not count an unused discount or service as cash saved, and do not assume a consultation includes tests, treatment or medicines.
Example: a cat's £198.99 first year would be £11.01 below a £210 usable standalone basket. If £30 of that basket is not useful to you, the plan instead costs £18.99 more. Repeat the calculation for renewal without the joining fee.
