Vets4Pets Complete Care cost: monthly prices and contract checks

Complete Care is a routine-care subscription, not insurance. Compare the price for your pet with the standalone cost of only the included items you expect to use.

At a glance

Published monthly prices are £19.99 for a dog under 25kg, £23.99 for a dog over 25kg, £16.99 for a cat and £10.99 for a rabbit. Twelve payments are £239.88, £287.88, £203.88 and £131.88 respectively. The pages do not place a dog weighing exactly 25kg into either band or state a joining fee, so confirm both with the practice.

The provider marks these prices as correct on 15 September 2025. We checked the pages and terms on 11 September 2026; our check date does not mean a new tariff was introduced. Local participating-practice terms and prices can differ.

Twelve-payment totals are arithmetic, not quoted annual prices. They exclude any fee not stated on the referenced pages and future price changes.

Match the species-specific allowance

The dog and cat pages list two face-to-face vet consultations and three nurse checks. The rabbit page lists one vet consultation and three nurse checks, alongside rabbit-specific flystrike protection. Do not value the rabbit plan as if it carried the dog or cat consultation allowance.

The pages also list vaccinations, check-ups, species-appropriate parasite protection, a helpline and other benefits. Ask the practice to identify the exact products, intervals and eligibility on your membership form.

Monthly payment does not mean a one-month commitment

The terms set a 12-month minimum for Complete Care. Cancelling during that minimum term normally triggers a £60 early-cancellation charge. Stated exceptions include the pet's death and eligible cancellations following a notified plan transition or price variation.

After the minimum term, a monthly plan continues until cancelled. Written notice must arrive at least 10 working days before the next Direct Debit due date to stop that collection; the plan remains active to the end of the applicable monthly billing period.

Use a neutral value test

List the included services you would buy without the plan and obtain the same practice's standalone prices. Add only those usable items, then subtract the full plan cost and any confirmed fee. A positive result is a price difference, not a guaranteed saving.

Example: if a £203.88 cat plan replaces £225 of intended standalone care, the difference is £21.12 before unknown charges. If £40 of that basket is an item you would not otherwise buy, the plan is £18.88 more expensive on that usable basket.

Questions to put on the written quote

Ask which weight band applies at exactly 25kg, whether there is a joining or administration fee, which practice provides benefits, and whether the annual-payment price differs from twelve monthly payments. Keep the membership form because it records your plan price.

Also check the start date, cancellation route, next collection date and how a weight or plan transition could alter price. Recheck the live terms before signing.
