Rutland & Kings publishes combined extraction packages starting at £284 for cats and £315 for dogs under 10kg. RVC instead adds £410, £565 or £720 for cat extractions and £465, £670 or £825 for dog extractions to its separate base dental. These are structurally different tariffs, not a national range.
Three earlier provider price lists checked 10 September 2026. The examples do not predict which teeth may need treatment. Fitzpatrick’s figures include VAT and remain from-prices, including printed bands: the upper figure is not a guaranteed ceiling. Find out whether extraction is an add-on or the whole dental
Request the base dental and every possible extraction band on the same estimate. Confirm general anaesthetic, dental charting, full-mouth or targeted X-rays, local anaesthesia, sutures, pain relief and post-operative checks.

Ask for a written estimate range and the approval process if the work found after assessment differs. A published band cannot determine the treatment required for an individual animal.
Worked comparison: add RVC’s base and extraction bands
For a dog under 25kg, RVC’s £515 base plus its £465 add-on for 1–4 teeth totals £980; the same base plus its £825 add-on for 10+ teeth totals £1,340. For a cat, £565 plus £410 totals £975 for 1–4 teeth, while £565 plus £720 totals £1,285 for 10+ teeth. These are arithmetic combinations of RVC’s published lines, not estimates of what an animal will need. Rutland & Kings instead lists combined cat bands of £284, £326 and £415 and dog bands by weight; its unexplained +/++/+++ labels cannot safely be mapped to RVC tooth-count bands.
